Borders from the html5 editor dont apepar when hosting maps.

As you can see only the very first border appears for some reason.

To reproduce just make a few borders and save and try to host it.

My suspicion is its in the same layer as no goes when compiling it in the server for hosting.

Iv tried on Firefox, Edge, Google Chrome, and Opera.

My operation system is Windows 10

Created a map yesterday, works all fine. But this invisible border thing seems to be common around here...
The borders are just invisible and you can actually walk on those areas?

Update: apon tunders discovery the borders are underneath the map when it is compiled when hosting a game. You can fix this by reuploading the map image but it then takes to long to save and the server disconnects due to inactivity, the bug is fixed in new maps and fixable in small maps. But the current work around takes to long on large maps (mine has 363 countries) and disconnects while saving due to inactivity.

Try firefox for background, it'll freeze for several minutes but wont disconnect.

That was my first choice, and it behaved exactly the same.

Bump, i made a map this week and whwn i host it to test, i'm the only one i can enter in the map. To the other people's who join, to them appears "error loading paths"

So if I understand correctly, this bug only happens when editing legacy maps. The bug is fixed/doesn't happen on new maps. From my part, I tried to investigate but didn't found legacy maps in the test server to use as experiment. Tried cloning the world map and could not reproduce it either.

Perhaps the bigger issue here is that you cannot upload large map images?

I gave him one of my maps so he could try to fix it. It was the larger of the two with 365 countries.

Perhaps the bigger issue here is that you cannot upload large map images?

You can initially when the map is new without borders. I tested this with my bg file without the countries or borders. It seems to slow down dramatically when you have numerous countries. Thus it takes to long to save and get a inactivity disconnect before it is done saving.

Note to self: seems like the invisible borders bug can also be reproduced by creating 1 border, saving, then creating the 2nd border. It will be visible in the map editor but not in-game.

Can you link me to this map?

The map that I have is "Hells Third Age", started on 19.01.2014. I just noticed that you guys are able to edit older, SL maps on HTML5 (this should work OK, haven't tried tho. @Dave perhaps we should disable this and do some tests on the testing servers for safety?).

The issue with this map is that the borders didn't get saved in the background (we do this for performance reasons). I don't promise a fix for that this week but will certainly take a look and hopefully have a better understanding of what's happening before Monday.

Cant till later on today im on my phone till then. Ill send you a ss in discord. Secondly borders are always visable when editing, they disappear when hosting. Dave was able to get a clone to save by making a copy with out countries or cities enabled when copying, i could just re add every country and city if it was possible to select the entire border and asign it to a diferent country like in silverlight. That map you are looking at is very old and uses a diferent bg.

Bump .. this discussion seems to have halted .. any updates?

I have the exact same problem .. borders disappear in game but not on editor .. and reuploading doesnt work cuz too many borders/countries (302) .. takes too long to save and gets inactivity disconnect before its done saving.
