BLOC- Dictatorship simulator

Your probably wondering what this game is. Its a browser based game on geopolitics. You basically start as a 3rd World nation in either Latin America,Africa,Middle East or Asia and build up to be a superpower. The game is still in "beta" and many features are still yet to come.

Examples:

Bellerophon's Nation: Damocles
Meester's Nation: Imbros

Registering

If you made it this far you are most likely joining the game. Here are some tips when registering I suggest you follow them.

When registering you'll need to provide 6 important information, Username, Email address, Nation Name, Region, Government and Economy. For Username and Nation Name put whatever you want. You'll need a legit email address to get your account password. You can obviously change it later on.

As for regions I suggest Latin America and Asia as they are still a developing region.

Each region has its own bonuses the bonuses are as follow..

Latin America: Smuggle drugs which is easy money. Lowers reputation if caught.
Africa: Smuggle blood diamonds which is easy money. Lowers reputation if caught.
Middle East: Massive amounts of oil.
Asia: High manpower and special economy zone.

For government form take Military Junta because you can get free units with it which is extremely useful. For economy style take Central Planning all other economy systems are worthless.

When you join take Military Junta political system because you can easily get free troops and aircraft using it. --> In your news section there will be 4 reformation options take the one with 10k extra troops. --> Prospect some oil and drill a new well. --> Buy 1 pack of weapons this will advance you to First World War Surplus technology. Train your troops to "Good" quality --> Go to world map and click on your region in the mini map. --> Search for a country with a weaker military strength and lower tech (Don't rush there are bunch of fail start nations out there.). --> Declare war and launch an offensive. --> Win the war in like 2 turns (1 turn = 12 hrs) and your GDP will be automatically boosted because you stole the other countries infrastructure. --> You can continue to purchase weapon and drill new oil wells from now on. Don't boost your GDP your stability will deal with it with max stability which is "Unsinkable" you get +5 GDP every turn.

NS is roleplay, you actually attack people here. Yes, it's a lil just a tiny bit like those endless iOS games. (modern war, global strike, about every mobster game and such)

Not sure about an atwar alliance, not everyone is gonna play bloc here.

Its like what you would be doing as the leader of a Atwar country. Its mostly text based.

Essentially you are the leader of a small nation in South America, the middle east, Africa, or Asia. You must make your national policy, fight other players, join alliances, produce oil, smuggle drugs, crush rebellions etc.

My country is called Damocles.

I can't decide, wether to be western or eastern. USA will sell their good fighters to those who are their best allies. Or, as long I am not freinds with the west, the USSR will sell their less powerful planes, and I have to pay more. What do you think?

I would do USSR. I have ties to another large alliance called the sealion league forum, they will probably back us as long as we are commie.

They're not the same damn game. NS is role play, >Bloc is a text based war game (not the same thing as roleplay)

Hot to fight in Nation states: go to a thread, start saying things like ''attack this and that with that'' or something. Done.

In >Bloc, you fight by clicking a declare war button, then click on attack. Done.

Why are you comparing 2 different games? It's apples and oranges. Both are games, both are about countries, but are played much different. For an instance, region =/= alliance.

Comparing two similar games is now apples an oranges e.e It still seems that most the people here on AW agree though. Nationstates is better then Bloc I think your but hurt because you play a game not many others like so your have a need to justify you playing it.

I'm not butthurt, it annoys me how people compare two different games. It's like comparing Battlefield to Hearts of iron, different games but both about war. If you like NS good for you, but this thread is about >BLOC (no idea why it's called >BLOC and not simply Bloc).

Tell me, what's the similarity in game play where in one game, you fight by typing words in a thread. And in the other, you click buttons.

1. You need oil. You need to prospect the oil, then build a well. How? Go to economics tab, scroll down. All the oil stuff is there

2. Economy, you can attack others to increase GPD. If your country has a good stability, your growth increases. If your a military junta or similar, use Great Leap Forward on the economics tab. 70 percent chance of increasing your growth

3. Technology. By buying weapons, you make progress to better tech.

4. Soldiers, your country has manpower. the more you recuit, it lowers. Wait a bit for it to increase. Recuiting doesn't cost money, it decreases growth.

5. Spies, used to cause rebellions in other countries.

Your tech bro keep up with people of your GDP. I'm @ 1278k GDP and my tech is almost Korean War Surplus. Double your GDP and double your tech.

So, I decided to try it out and after a mass great leap spam my growth went to 40mil and is now suffering from unsustainable growth...

And I randomly ended up in the Blood Crescent alliance for random reasons.
Currently stockpiling on oil as I thought it was useless and decided to sell it off for cash

I dont play anymore but remember oil spiked to 117k yesterday. time to wait for the near crisis.

Great to see people taking interest maybe the AtWar alliance can become reality.
