First year voting (I'm of age now). I'd vote for Trump still. No I dont think he is the best guy for the job and I'm not overly conservative or anything; infact I'm more in the middle than anything. The way I see it is that Democrats have always, one way or another, had some sort of control over what has been done in the past decades just due to being popular; allowing them to be elected again and again. Especially the Senator from my state who has been in both the house and Senate for 20+ years. The same can be said for conservatives; just not as consistent. Despite Trump being trump, I do believe some of the things he is doing is worth while. I did not agree with a toxic base that has been proven but it's on both sides and their both equally extreme; however most of us see things somewhere in the middle even if its leniant towards one side or another. Technically it's still the middle. Not only this I really dont like how the media treats things now a days; in school were taught how to detect bias and all this BS (in every news outlet I see it one way or another) and I see it most in dem leaning media, which in fact I watch more so than conservative. Trump has taken a huge leap in some areas such as fighting China, which should have started years ago. Not only this.. policies that have ruined states such as California and have basically forced their own people who are equally uneducated in why their state became the way it is to move to states such as Colorado who now face the same problems due to those identical policies being made. Of course I am young, I havent experienced as much as say Dave, my family, or anyone else who has been voting for years; but this is the way I see things currently.

I'm also voting for the first time in 2020, and I'm voting for Trump. I think every Democratic candidate would destroy this country except for Mike Bloomberg. I'd be OK with Bloomberg as the president, but I would not prefer him over Trump.

Bloomberg is the only candidate who has previously advocated for entitlement reform. Not even Trump will touch entitlements. However, Trump is going to nominate originalist (not conservative) justices to the Supreme Court, he is anti-abortion, and I agree with his foreign policy. Therefore, I'm voting for Trump.

First time electorate, and if I vote, it would be for Trump. Not because I support his character, but mainly due to his policies and because Andrew Yang lost the primaries. I feel like US politics is becoming more divisive to the point where both parties have become cult like (like Sean Spicer who insults anyone who supports democrats). All parties abide to the modern monetary theorem, which will sink the US dollar's value to worthlessness, and the consequences will be burdened by future generations.

Yeah... you proved my point. You have the cult like sheep mindset that tells you: REPUBLICAN PARTY GOOD. DEMS BAD. Sad that you don't open your mind to other viewpoints based on the name alone. I think you're more intelligent than you are portraying.

I abhor any such "group" mentality, and you have wrongly characterized my view. The Democrats are the ones who think in terms of "groups." They always have. During the Civil War, they separated us between "blacks" and "whites," during the 21st century they separate us between "whites" and "blacks." They think in such terms, while I do not. I am the chief defender of individual rights, while the Democrats take precisely the opposite position. As I stated previously, I love Democrats. I love Mike Bloomberg because of his past support for entitlement reform. I love Andrew Yang for his new perspective on entitlements—I only find it easier to consign any supporters of the party to the SJW crowd, because that is who you would be by extension supporting.

We agree on one point then- that the establishment is a worthless piece of garbage. Democrats concentrate on identity politics which is destroying their arguments. Republicans are concentrating on tax breaks which do not help people who will be out of jobs. I absolutely stand by your statement that we need new perspectives from both parties, and we need to stop the copy and pasted talking points that "America is more racist" and that "Democrats are a bunch of maniacs". Both sides are right on some points, and wrong on others. Even Trump has flaws- like not taking the automation crisis seriously, and he has positives- like taking a harsher stance on North Korea and Iran.

Trump has an isolationist philosophy that is gonna mess up the world economy with these "Trump tariffs". They are hurting US GDP and real income as well as the global economy. https://pubs.aeaweb.org/doi/pdfplus/10.1257/jep.33.4.187 He should get beaten by a Democrat who is more leaning towards the center such as Biden/Bloomberg. Yes Bloomberg is "buying" himself into the election but he is also not accepting any donations. If Sanders is so noble he shouldn't have spent the +100$ Million in donations on his campaign.

A building shall not stand if its foundations are weak, but it shall stand for one thousand years if its foundations are strong. The Democratic party is at odds with the foundations of America. The United States was founded on the enlightened ideals of John Locke, among others, but the Constitution in all its glory remains only a list of parchment guarantees if it is not supported by an enlightened people. Democracy is not perfect. Indeed, a free people may very well elect to strip themselves of freedom. The Constitution prevents as much by securing for each citizen his individual freedom. To be sure, collective freedom must never outweigh individual freedom, because there is no greater threat to individual freedom than collective freedom. By the same token, there is no better security for collective freedom than individual freedom, as it would presumably be under the constant threat of rebellion. The Second Amendment was instituted for that purpose. The Democratic party would rot the foundations of America. They would seize for themselves the reins of power by means of replacing our republic with a system of majoritarian rule. America would crumble beneath the weight of every gun, every faith, every word seized and censored by government until it is absorbed under the rule of the United Nations. The great challenge we face today is not a matter of politics. It is a matter of survival. Whether our country shall thrive for another hundred years or more depends entirely on our actions today. We must never allow someone to redefine our history, to reshape our way of life, to declare that we must accept one arbitrary belief over our own religious beliefs. We have a common history. The DNA of America is not coded by slavery, but by freedom and success. We are one people united under God, and insofar as we are united we are indivisible. The American way of life is the free way of life, defined by one's own capacity to pursue his own interests, safeguarded by his own community. We must never abandon this dream—not because of the Constitution, not because of John Locke, but because this is who we are. We are free, and the democrats would seize our freedom. We are equal, and the democrats would incite wars of race among us. We are the greatest people of Earth. Men died for the dream. Men fought for the dream. The dream is real, but only insofar as it is carried out by men and women like you and I. As a free and equal people, we must not allow the democrats to enslave us, to turn us into impersonal widgets subject to the capricious intent of government. A government of the people, by the people, and for the people is a government that must not rule the people. The people must rule it. Trump must be elected in 2020 if we are to remain free.

What despicable tactic. You call my arguments "ridiculous" so that you can dismiss them and not have to actually engage in dialogue. Smart move, actually. If I was an idiot that doesn't know how to argue, I'd do the same thing. You are an evil antisemite. I am not sheltered and I have no interest in Anglo-Judean culture. If I was American I would vote for Bernie. I do agree his ideas need more work and I'm not a Commie, but I would still vote for him. Just for a change, that change may be an all out civil war after the vote with you yanks though, I don't know Americans get paid less hourly than most Europeans in most of the countries over here. And your health care needs to be improved massive homeless problem too.

LOL! You're a slave! How does it feel to be a slave? How does it feel to be enslaved by your own government? Our "healthcare" needs improved? By whose standard? Yours or your government's? Instead, let's allow the people to decide for themselves the standard they want for their healthcare. You know nothing of natural rights, you know nothing of freedom and equality, and you are no more than a pawn whose every move has already been prescribed by government.
