This is why I made the thread? Is he an alt or not? You can technically call it farm, because he is taking elo from people who barrely know anything about this game in the beginnin and he is just exploiting that.

Why make thread? PMs are possible.

I actually agree with waffel here, if making an alt account and playing duels for the sole purpose of FARMING elo from LOW ranks while you have a higher ranked account, that should be punishable.
What if I made an alt clan and farmed elo with SM, most likely I would be punished for it, and I remember Desu stopped a CW for the same reason actually. I am guilty of having my own alt account I farmed elo with (killstreak) and it doesn't take any skill, however now with seasons and elo resetting EVERY season farming low ranks would be so much easier since their overall elo obviously doesn't count for the season. If it's being looked into, great, however I think there is an obvious solution - the same one to counter SP farmers.

seriously though yea we are discussing this. Something will be done.

I have said before, duel games/challenges should not be allowed in the beginners room, at least not let the elo earned feature on the leaderboard when duel are made in beginners. Problem more or less solved.

I don't partake in seasonal elo games but I can completely understand the community's frustrations when they play hard and competitively with other players and then you have this perpetrator creating an alt account for the sole purpose of exploiting the elo system, thus ruining the challenge and fun for everyone else.

I do suggest that whoever is behind this should have the courage to go on his main and apologize to the community and then have his elo reset on his main, and his alt banned permanently.

2 days already, I though this was a quite easy case. Maybe you guys want to secure a long-lasting resolution but pls don't take up 2-3 years like with unknown gamer... (But he is NOT a gamer!!!)

A fast decision, then a long-lasting resolution would work best IMO.

(I.e: Contacting the person, asking for reason about why he did that, confirming his real username, quick-vote whenever it is farm or not, banning him or something or doing nothing, then as long lasting resolution whenever duels should or shouldn't be allowed in beginner room).

Question the person would be a complete waste of time. Confirming his username would be wise and implementing a ban on his alt and a temp ban on his main but only contact they should have with him is the issue, evidence against him, and the discipline action they took against him. Lastly, I hate to be rankist but I do think a rank cap should be in order for duels and elo seasons. Rank 5+ would be reasonable. If not that then maybe a seperate room, kinda like a non ranked games room and a ranked games room. world maps only in ranked and all maps in non ranked and add the rank cap restriction on the ranked games room.

Its also forbidden to write shit about other players in general discussion. And i don't think you are the one able to juge people.

Disagree, IMO contact is essential for everything. Everybody should have the right to defend himself/herself, doesn't matter how useless it might look. But right this is my opinion...

You took my statement wrong, questioning then is a waste of time yes, but when you know who it is that caused the crime, then contact them, let them know what they did, what is their consequence and if the player wish to appeal the decision then the player has the right to contact the mods and explain their side of the story. Question them is pointless when firstly, they will lie, secondly, you already have proof or you can obtain proof in an instant, and thirdly, that player will likely strike again if they can just get away with it.

I think I can talk just like anyone else about this game. I don't know who you think you are to tell me not to? Also I would like to thank you for taking time to bring in an useless comment like this. It really solved the problem in this thread!

Also fyi, I dont know who took the sp of this farmer, but I think something went wrong there.

As you can see it still says he has 1255 elo and is still #1.

As for the people who said he is not farming and could be a real player > don't you think it is a real coincidence he quit playing > 14d ago after his elo is taken away.

Hmm okay, I just said it so not at the end of the season he will receive #1 trophy you know? Since the people who won it the other season still dont have their trophies and prolly the admins/mods who will give those trophies might forgot that his elo got resetted and its a bug.

Umm I've Seen an r8 who cant wall.. and played with same player all over and over again
