More colours in custom

(I know, an odd request coming from me ;P)

I'd like to see more available colours in games. We suggested this in the Admin thread asking for quick ideas but that thread was locked. More variations, more colours. Its an asthetics issue but a small and easily improvable one. It wll make factions in custom more easily recognisable and generally, there are some colours I never like using but have no choice.

Noone wants their homeland represented by Pink.

Not really, copy paste can be done with ctrl+c/ctrl+v.

I thought the problem was everyone's different monitor brightness and contrast settings. Those above colours are only distinct enough under certain circumstances.

Yes. I like. I can understand why admins might restrict it as Ezz says, its probably set for neutral screen settings (Even though some colours are far worse than others)

Keep the original 20 for default games but just allow Mapmakers to use more for scenarios etc.

I agree with that. More colors (not the whole palette) would be cool for scenarios/maps.
