Imperial Academy: Scenario Competition 2016
I will keep this concise.
The Imperial Academy, and some other neutral respectable judges will be voting on scenarios. Current list is;
- Adog
- Seleucus
- WaiserReich
- Hellraiser
- Nero
- Aetius
Simple rules of what maps can enter:
- Has to be a scenario
- No RPs allowed
- Judges cannot judge their own maps
Each map-scenario is graded out of 10 in, strategy, gameplay (fun factor), accuracy (citying & borders), and aesthetics. To combine to give a total out of 40. If Alternate history, accuracy will be judged on a combination of the aesthetics of the borders & the accuracy of any existing cities/rivers.
A "standard set" of another randomly chosen maps will also be graded. These "standard set" are selected at random by the AW
chosen at random.
The current "standard set" are:
Then we will calculate the standard deviation and the mean of all the maps. Then plot X∼N(μ,σ) - a normal distribution curve.
We will find the value where P(X>x) = 0.1 or P(X<x) = 0.9 all those with x value or more will receive a trophy. Essentially selecting for the top 10% of map makers. We may change this to be top 5% or top 20%, depending on how the normal distribution curve plots.
We will be giving out trophies to candidates who win!!
Good luck to all candidates!
UPDATE:
NOT FINISHED, however this is preliminary - for those who would like to get a feel.
Also this is a preliminary boundary
Of the Raw % (x-axis) to the Scaled Mark % (y-axis). Based on the current normal distribution - found by statistically analysing the "standard set". This is not final.
Just a preliminary prediction of what it would be given the current statistics. A finalised version will be released later.
To win you need to get over 90% in scaled mark %,.... or be in the top 5 raw %.
