A single unit can break a def line regardless of how high attack it is
I think if the either def point unit is not destroyed completely, the def line should not broken
This can buff def side and can give a certain help to bulk of def unit (let say bulk inf)
Is it an old topic?

That is basically asking for a whole new game.

Speaking in a real world context (ignore the fact that this is a 2d fictional buggy game), if a force has set up fortifications, has fortified along the perimeter of their 'defence line', a single attack will destroy the fortifications at some point. This compromises the integrity of the fortifications as a whole.
Now speaking in the context of a 2d fictional fantasy buggy game, there simply isn't a way to easily implement a 'small hole' in the defence line instead of the entire defence line being broken.

Yes, it is an old topic and I also agree with you. Suggestions have been made in the past but no progress...

What if, and this is just a blunt suggestion, but what if walls were unbreakable until you attack them for at least 3 times in 3 different turns?
Its like a defensive line in war. Front. Trench. With bonkers. Got it?
I think this would make atwar interesting and more realistic.

Then bigwalling would be even a bigger problem D
And you'd probably ragequit AW.. Just guessing..

This is what hold the line is meant to be. But for every strat itd create a completely different game. Whether better or worse who knows.

According to some info I've heard, the current game mechanics didnt really work with Hold the door strategy so thats why it isnt out yet.
