Religion exist for thousands of years and it formed & shaped peoples character, personality, mentality, thoughts and opinion.

Atheism is created to destroy that already-formed personality so it can instill new one, usually some politicized thoughts to suits someone political goal.

I categorize Atheism as one of the 'cides', like you have 'genocide', same goes with this, it is 'personalitycide'. You dont have to kill a man to suit your goal/policy like nazis did, just destroy his identity and you killed him from inside.

I dunno if you heard the phrase "The American Dream", which is basically getting your dream job, pursuing a career while making enough cash to satisfy yourself. So why not ban hospitals, police and schools? They cheat dont they? They say they help people, but they some of them are corrupted. Why do we contradict ourselves, we fund them and they dont do their jobs after they swore oath?

Same with religion, some of them cheat and that doesnt mean we should condemn whole religion or all religions.

A fellow muslim friend was telling me how he broke his religion again, and I'm sure he told me he stopped going mosque. The world is crazy and many people have silly thoughts inside them. Now if religion can be cheated and abused, then it is wrong to say that religion is everything for a man. So much that a man would be faceless without religion. yes they only burned witches and have :in god we trust" on their dollar. they actually are ridiculously religious for an advanced country and have really high rates, despite such a wide access to technology and information and despite being the leading country in nobel awards. One of the few advanced countries of the West still invoking religion in matters of politics, education and even socially. Its a shame really.

European revolutions of 18th and 19th century brought atheism, that created Europe shaky. They legalized gay marriages and ignore those people while they need medical treatment because it is a health issue, it is not normal.
If current trend continue, we will see decadent West and disciplined harmonious East. You will call West 'free' because it will allow people everything, while you will call East 'totalitarian' for banning people to things which are considered normal on the West.

That comes from a Greek. Religion saved Greece and Greeks, it saved Greek identity and way of life. Your gratitude is trashtalking it.

Without religion and priests to organize people, write down their names and history, you would be Turk today, praying 5 times a day on kneels, saying allahu akhbar. You would be circumsized and you would probably be poorer than Bulgaria.

Not to mention bombing you would have in Athens, destroyed ancient monuments in Parthenon, and Greek refugees in Western Europe. You would have Greeks begging Hungarians on the border to let them through.

Erm talk about alternate history...christianity and judaism since their actual inception fought hellenism and the greek way of life, both spiritually and by blood. Remember How apostle Paul went to Athens to talk about a ressurected god and miracles and the whole city laughed at him and threw tomatoes. How moses was a convicted murderer scamming and lying his ass off and greeks wrote about it. how zacharias and isaac and others write in the old testament against the Greeks and call upon the children of Zion to kill them. how antiohos E of the seleucids ridiculed the jews and they never recovered. how they continued to fight hellenism ever since then, through the roman empire, to the byzantines and then to......the OTTOMAN era, where greek orthodox church enjoyed ridiculous privileges, installed as the highest power in Greece by ottomans themselves and in return hunted down, inprisoned and snicthed to kebabs virtually every Greek revolutionary power that emerged. How they kept Greeks in the dark by banning math, sciences and ancient philosophers from schools and forcing religion in their place. How they tried to fabricate and twist history about their role and their involvement in the whole era of ottoman occupation and failed. Or we can talk about Lenin the Jew and how he helped Kemal the kebab with millions of golden rubles and hunderds of thousands of weapons and ammunition to defend against the Greeks and kick them out. Greece would have 30 million people now and Minor Asia and pontus.

Or we can talk about all the Greek revolutionaries who were skinned alive because the church sold them out to the turks. or we can talk about the priests who defied christianity and went to create underground schools to teach philosophy, science and math to kids and got imprisoned and executed. Or the actual people that saved us, merchants and intellectuals, "bad atheist" patriots, travelling from France to all around Greece with books and ideas from the enlightend West, that actually educated,inspired and motivated the people to rise and revolt.

Agree. Why are you against religions when Greece have a very rich culture based on it? Where's Zeus, Kratos, and all the greeks gods? Why do you make science and religion looks like they're contradictory, when the own Galileo Galilei said once, that he was waiting for the day in which the Science and Religion can go hand-to-hand?
