DISCLAIMER: I know I'm not American, but in the elections of such politically important nations the whole world has a stake. I also tried to fit as many candidates as possible but I had to select just 9 of them.
Please elaborate in comments who you support and why. I hope to have a nice, enlightened political and philosophical debate in OT for once
Myself I support former senator of Kentucky Rand Paul because of his staunch constitutionalist viewpoints, his diplomatic stance towards the Middle East, and his plan for the devolvement of the US government.
Eliminating large, unnecessary budget drains(For example military spending and Obamas failed social progressive reforms) and lowering taxes is what I believe could give an arguable boost to the American economy as the less money the state takes from the people to invest into the military-industrial complex the more money actually goes into the consumer goods businesses of the US. Therefore I would believe that in the long run it could lead to a much stabler, although localized economical situation for the US. I also support his stance against Iran, stating that Iran is not a direct threat to the United States of America and that prolonged conflict and hostile relations with the nation will ultimately be detrimental to the diplomatic situation of the nation. I also support his constitutionalist stance on the issue of gun control as the American people have the right to be armed to protect themselves from both governmental and civilian assailants. Furthermore I support his liberal stances towards marijuana, and I also appreciate the fact that he condemns the Iraq War and holds it and the arming of Syrian rebels accountable for the creation of ISIS.
Yeah, raising the minimum wage will definitely allow people to live on their own! Lmao thats not how it works, by raising the minimum wage you're just inflating the economy even more and causing prices to go up, this stifles the economy so badly because middle class people (the main people who buy things) will stop buying as much because their wage will most likely stay the same, making it much harder for them to live. The middle class stops buying so much, therefore making the rich less money which can lead to lower prices and less jobs in general.
So doing this is really counter-productive for everyone. Also to note most minimum wage jobs should not allow you to live on your own, the kinds of jobs people need to be able to support yourself and possibly a family are careers. Jobs that will last for a long time and actually require some sort of skill.

And that's why it will be American's lesson of not going to extremist positions, Germans sort of got their lesson, altough that is changing, and Europe is facing the rise of far right-wing, again.
Germans havent learn any lesson. This is the 4th time they try to destroy Europe ( barbarian invasion, 1st ww, 2nd ww, now econ policy). I am 100% convinced the "solution" for the Jews that Hitler tried sould be applied to Germans. Their gene pool just needs to dissapear from this earth so Europe can have peace and prosperity again.
p.s. mods delete that krav magas posts and ban him until he change his signature. he is bugging all the forum
It is quite true Germans as a people are arrogant, hypocrite and disgusting tho, but I don't stand for their genocide, they just need to be put in their place.

The thing with Bernie Sanders is that he follows the nordic socialist policies (Democratic-Socialism) so he like wants to apply policies that are applied in countries with less than 10mln people (small economies therefore) in a country with 300mln people and way more different aspects than for instance Sweden or Norway. It's just not possible.
Ok maybe I got you wrong then because I agree, the American government Is the root of all evil Germany is a rich puppet state being used to carry out imperialistic agendas by multinationals tgat are pulling the strings in washington. The only thing I don't agree with is the fact you are combining the government with the populace, as a race americans and Germans are good people, it is government you should hate not the mothers hard working father's and there childeren.
Obviously i didnt mean it literally, about genociding all Germans (or did i?)..im not a monster But when their greed and corruption turns your country into Africa and when you go from rich to poor in 5 years, you tend to give less fucks about peoples feelings, in this case the Germans. And we are talking about caustic, egotistical, arrogant people very prone to missinformation and propaganda and eating up all the shit the establishment feeds them. I have friends there who tell me about the public opinion and the media and ive seen the polls myself. No mercy to the mercyless, sorry.
ON TOPIC. i would vote Sanders hands down. Maybe not all his policies would be effective, but its a great step forward. If he does even 10% of what he says, USA will be a miracle.

The nordic model is only a soft version of keynesianism, which was widely developed and applied in U.S., first under Roosevelt and it has been the basis of american economical policies throughout the 30s, the 40s, the 50s and the 60s. Get your facts. Why were these finally pushed aside, cause greed of Wall Street.

I'm not sure of understanding what you mean here.
Are you saying people only need incentives to get their life decent? I think those people around the world living around and eating from dumps (see picture) are having plenty of incentives to "get a career". Please explain, why are they still stuck there?
Do you mean only lawyers and other noble professions deserve to live decently and to found a family and the rest not?!?!? For example, "oh, he's just a plane pilot, doesnt merit a decent salary." "oh, he's just a soldier..." oh, she's just a teacher..." "oh, she's just a nurse...".Many many jobs in the us, like pilots, have stupidly low wages.
Finally, that "that's not how it works" part... Dude, economy is inflating right now, and hasnt stoped rly in the last decades, but, in the US, all the new wealth went EXCLUSIVELY in the pockets of the 1%. This means that prices are going up, but 99% of the people are not seeing any increase in income, on the contrary... The middle class barely exists in the us anymore, all the wealth being detained by the very wealthy.
I am not a US citizen, but was I one, Sanders would be my clear and obvious choice.
I don't agree with many of his beliefs, and I think some of his proposals are downright silly, but somebody has to deal with that crippling economic inequality that's tearing the US apart. I don't like his speeches very much, but he's an economic leftist and he's decently competent. Considering the sorry state of US politicians nowadays, I think that's the best that can reasonably be hoped for.

make people with no class, and all will buy same.
People should normally have different wages,if they have some univeristy, their wages would be higher,if they dont, they should have less money.
But all they should have system of upgrading too,if they work fo 1 year, their wages should be bigger,etc.....

Every profession you just named is well paid and more than enough to enjoy a decent life. Most poverty in the US does not come from low pay, but from employers not giving enough hours, such as warehouse and retail work or janitorial work.
Finally, that "that's not how it works" part... Dude, economy is inflating right now, and hasnt stoped rly in the last decades,
Untrue. The US economy is considered to be inflating if prices are rising more than 3% a year. Current rate is 2.5%.
2.5%, ok lol. Are you talking about the current rate of INFLATION? There is inflation, it is only limited to around 2 to 3% by the central bank. Still, prices are going up. Try and calculate 20 years of cumulative 2.5% inflation and see how much it makes.

Though it does say the pattern is the same for 2/3s of the world, so it isn't just a US problem. It also notes that the increase in the middle class income is higher that that of inflation.
Aside from the banking failures that lead up to the recession of 2009, it appears the economy is growing at a proper rate and there is no decrease in quality of life.
How do we define or compare quality of life?
Yes, although the gap between the top 5% and the rest grew sharply, every class saw their income grow during the last decades, in dollars adjusted to inflation.
Nonetheless, if everyone's income grows of only a small amount and the income of a minority of people is skyrocketing, I think we can say that there is, at least, a growing gap in quality of life. And what's more relevant as a criteria for our quality of life than the quality of life of others?
