Ivan, Amok, could it be possible for mapmakers to limit which strategies are available to a map?

For instance, I'm currently working on a reasonable way to represent units in space and strategies such as Naval Commander and Relentless Attack/Tank General would be useless and whoever picked those would be at a disadvantage; same with those who pick Desert Storm or Sky Menace in my ASOIAF map.

I don't consider the phrase "massive fag" to be an insult. Mods did.

Ok...

1: You should warn about players in game description about what strategies are recommended or not recommended for your scenario-map-preset.

2: If for example one map have only sky menace avaible and i dont have sky menace unlocked then im forced to play with none.

3: You should try to make all the possible strategies useful in your map, each player have a completly different way to play, if i focused all my upgrades in Master of Stealth, and your map dont have stealth units, im probably not going to play your map.

4: Strategies are something that you are free to select, if i want to be in disadvantage you are nothing to stop me.

Its still a cool option to have, even if it excludes some players from that map. and not just as a helping hand, could be a limitation for a certain scenario side.

Also, that way you could disable all strategies which could prove useful in some tournaments.

1.- no one ever reads the description
2.- is your fault for having no good upgrades
3.- no stealth units in my scenario, you pick master of stealth = you are fucked. thats why this is implemented lol
4.- Free will = China rank 4 picks Naval Commander in a ww2 scenario and you contradicted your point 2.

Your argument is invalid, stop bitching about everything,
have a good day.

Create all unit as Type:Other and don't put commander units.

Aside for Imperialist Strategy, all other strategies and upgrades I'm aware of refer to specific role/type (secondary defense/stealth/transport etc).

Not a perfect solution but might be good enough.
